Hi, my name is Angela Wu Li

In 2025, I hosted my first writing circle with a few friends. It was a simple experiment that asked: Might it be fun to write together?

What I learned from it:

  1. We contain so much creativity inside us, it just takes a nudge to let it out. I’m constantly blown away by the depth of writing that can be produced in a short time.
  2. Writing every day is really hard. But it’s made a little easier (and, dare I say, fun) with an accountability partner.
  3. It’s uniquely rewarding to write to a semi-public audience, which is lower stakes than hitting publish on a polished piece, but higher stakes than journaling to no one.

Writing in a small community is a special spot where creativity can take root and flourish, and that's the thesis of Broccoli Club.
